Flights & Trains

You can fly to Manchester or Liverpool. Manchester is easier.
Liverpool: you have to take a bus to the train station, then the train to Preston (travel time 2 hrs.).
Manchester has 3 terminals all of which have easy access to the railway station where there are direct trains to Preston.

You will need to buy an 'open return' ticket as it tends to be cheaper than paying for 2 single returns.

The journey from Manchester airport to Preston takes 1 hour and they run every 30 minutes.  Please note on weekends there is a limited timetable (engineering works happen at weekends) and there is a number of changes required to travel from Preston to the airport.
